Digital Repositories Committee : Data Dictionary Review

The Metadata Working Group is in the process of finalizing the Data Dictionary: reviewing for compliance with Hyrax work forms, resolving outstanding comments, creating a Master Data Modeling document, in addition to posting a user-friendly Data Dictionary on ScholarWorks.

Timeline for completion: June 2020

MWG Tasks:

• Transpose fields from Data Dictionary Draft into the new Master Data Modeling spreadsheet
• Review remaining comments in Data Dictionary draft, and ensure they've been resolved, or add them to the Trello board to review at our next meeting
• Review the Hyrax work forms to ensure that all fields present in Hyrax are reflected in the data modeling spreadsheet
• Review Metadata field definitions for clarity (and make recommendations if definitions should be made visible)
• Finalize formatting for Extent (i.e., MARC formatting?)
• Review, publish, and distribute Metadata Dictionary
