ULMS Resource Sharing : 2018-01-26 Meeting notes

Brainstorm Topics:

The RSFC discussed topics for a potential conference this summer. Our 4 recommendations will go to the ULMS Coordinating Committee on January 31st. 

• Multi volume workflow start to finish
• Configuring letters/lost book fees with CSU+
• Analytics: Title, Call number reports, sharing with librarians, CSU+ Stats
• Troubleshooting ABC
• Troubleshooting multi volume set. How to add the second item after sending.
• Troubleshooting accidental second barcode
• Troubleshoot receive items not marked as sent

• Guide To Tricor Issues - Carolyn
• Talk to drivers about overly tight zip ties
• Lost Loan Profiles - Astra/Jamie
• Bring additional ideas for next meeting

Open forum topics:

We discussed various topics to present at our next open forum. Our current thought is to discuss:

• Statuses
• Lost Items
• Working with Circ on training CSU+

Book Straps:

• Discussed the possibility of moving from paper book bands and stickers to plastic book straps. When the CSU+ templates were created last year the GTF hoped to eventually move on to reusable book straps, but felt that it should be discussed in a different fiscal period. The RSFC discussed the topic and decided we need additional data and this can be discussed at a future date.
