Statement Of Work review - contract being renewed in October and SOW needs review/updating.
Would like to set up a group to review and provide feedback on the SOW. Mallory will put out a call for participants that’s not attached to ISPIE or RSFC so people who are not tied to the committees can take part.
Carolyn is interested.
Joe says Eddie (from the CO) is in active talks with the UCs to better understand their contract and how they are working with Unity.
They have two reps from campuses who meet bi-weekly with Unity management
Report from Carolyn on form submissions
She hasn’t had time to follow up with them
Joe will help out on this and be the second person involved here.
Mallory will reach out to Joe and Carolyn to set up a time for Carolyn to show how the form submission and follow up process works with Trello.
Lost/Damaged task force update
Isabel Pina
Meeting tomorrow (Wed 4/3 at 10am) to discuss feedback submitted from both committees. Will have an update next meeting on content/revisions.
Bags
All
Bag Frankensteining was successful - got 4 bags back in shape to circ
Bag with broken zipper: removed flipcard screen and took bag apart for salvageable pieces.
Repaired a zipper, a flipcard screen, a small-ish hole
Did it on Friday afternoon when things were slow. Willing to do it again and continue doing repairs. Yay Joe! Good job!
Bag Graveyard ceremony- changing of chairs and graveyard keeper?
Joe will be official bag graveyard keeper.
Dead bag threshold
How many shipments/bags shipped per day? Can Mallory find this out from Tricor meeting? It could inform what is our lowest threshold for number of bags needed
For loans to their own students they are required to pay what their acq department paid for the book.
They currently update the purchase cost in Alma and use that.
Question still remains: how would a campus that didn’t migrate acq cost do this? Did San Marcos create those costs somehow post-migration or did they migrate their acq info? How would that cost info be passed from one institution to another in Alma (San Marcos probably does not have that information but it’s still an issue)?
Conditionals update
Conditionals put requests into a never expiring status which could be good or bad, it just sits in the queue.
The “need response by” date doesn’t do anything - no task or reminder created. It just orders your requests by this date.
If the lending partner rejects the request after the conditional the hold on the item is not cancelled
When the borrower rejects the conditions the user never gets a cancellation message.
Has the enhancement cycle been discussed in the steering committee at all? Our committee is in a unique spot to make recommendations that affect the entire CSU even if we aren’t voting as a block.
